TAR SANDS HEALING WALK 2014

July 2014. Elder Taz Bouchier talks about the impacts of the Tar Sands on Indigenous people in the Athabasca watershed. She spoke to KAIROS Canada in late June 2014 at the fifth and final Tar Sands Healing Walk. The walk covered 14 kilometres along Highway 63, where it loops around the Syncrude site, just north of Fort McMurray. In this video, images from the walk help to amplify Bouchier's powerful words.
